Year 1 Annual Meeting

The first annual meeting of the Floridan Aquifer Collaborative Engagement for Sustainability (FACETS) project was held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the Reitz Union on the University of Florida Campus in Gainesville, Florida.  The overall meeting goals were to:

  • Share Project Year 1 progress and plan for successful Year 2 and beyond
  • Increase interaction among Project members and with the Project Advisory Committee (PAC)
  • Engage PAC and Project Members to provide input and feedback on project activities and outputs

The successful day-long meeting included Project Objective Science Team (POST) presentations & posters, interactive discussions, and planning sessions.  Meeting  details and outcomes are available in a full report available here.

Models predict farm/forest- and regional-scale impacts of alternative land use and production practices on the water quantity, water quality, and economy of North Florida and South Georgia.
